
Mark Gerald DiTrapani, age 54, of Grandville, was called home to his heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was preceded in death by his dad, Jerry DiTrapani, and his son, Mark DiTrapani II. Mark was a loving father, son, and brother who had a huge heart and put others before himself. He had a contagious fun-loving personality that was evident to all who knew him. He worked as a barber alongside his dad, “Jerry the Barber”, at DiTrapani’s Barber Shop in Grand Rapids for many years, establishing many friendships during his time there. Mark enjoyed working on cars, specifically Corvairs, and was also a member of the Corvair Club. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sharayah, Jessica, Felicia, Ben, and Grace; his mother, Betty-Lou DiTrapani, his brother and sister-in-law, David and Shelly DiTrapani; his step brothers, Joey and Jenni, Jerry and DeeDee; several loving extended family members. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, February 29, at 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Fr. Chris Rouech officiating. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
