
Marion Aline (Sayers) Freehafer, age 75, of Grandville, was called home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Marion was a loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma who cherished her family. She enjoyed bowling, receiving many trophies over the years, and was an avid Tigers fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Richard A. Freehafer Sr. and her parents, Walter and Adeline Sayers. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Richard Jr. and Beth Freehafer, Theresa and Brad Canfield, Marchall and Steve Guikema; her grandchildren, Sarah and Nathan Rogers, Alyssa and Chase Baldridge, Kathleen and Stephen Graeser, Shalee Szendre, Skyler Canfield, Stone Canfield, Antonio Villarreal, Summer Canfield, Braden Canfield, Austin Freehafer, Faith Howell, Gage VanderWaal; her great-grandchildren, Tessa, Castiel, Jameson, Viola, and Samuel; her brother, Paul Sayers; her brother-in-law, Don Freehafer; nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment will be held at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hand2Hand Ministries or to Villalobos Rescue Center.
