Marilyn Jean Fredricks

Marilyn Fredricks, age 89, of Caledonia was called home by her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born to the late Tony and Jenny Hoekstra on April 17, 1935 in Rock Valley Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and a sister in-law; Marlene Hoekstra.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter; Debra (Gary) Wohlford, son, Tim (Ninfa Russo) Fredricks; daughter-in-law, Linda Fredricks; grandchildren; Tim Thorpe, Kelly Kincaid, Christina Fredricks (Nathan Garant), Nick (Shelia) Fredricks; great-grandchildren, Colyn, Bailey, Elijah, Sadie, Jo, Jack; and a brother, Robert Hoekstra.

Marilyn loved traveling to Arizona for the winter months.  She enjoyed decorating, was an avid reader, and she enjoyed working in the garden with her sister in-law, Darla. Marilyn's true passion was watching any activities that the grandchildren had.

Funeral Services will be held 11 am Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Caledonia CRC with Rev. Merlin Buwalda officiating.  Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
