
Marilyn Gayle Piebenga (Vos), age 93, of Wyoming, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 24, 2021. She joins her husband, Donald Piebenga, who passed away in 2000. Marilyn was born in Holland, Michigan, the daughter of John and Holeda Vos. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband; brothers: Howard Vos and Roger Vos; sister-in-law, Marilyn Vos; brother-in-law, Gil Schepers; and son-in-law, Robert Ingle. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Randy (Karna) Piebenga, Daniel (Yvonne) Piebenga, Kathy Piebenga-Ingle, Kevin (Tracy) Piebenga; 8 grandchildren: Mark, Scott, Rachael, Ryan, Benjamin, Brian, Jodie, Heather; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings: Jane (Vos) and Charles Westers; sister-in-laws: Marge (Piebenga) Schepers and Gloria Vos, along with many nieces and nephews. Fulfilling her dreams as a girl, Marilyn was an elementary school teacher and a talented pianist and organist. She will be remembered for her 65 years of playing the piano and organ at Godwin Heights Church and countless weddings and funerals. The struggles of the last two years are over, and finally being received into heaven is her greatest Blessing; no longer held back by blindness or hearing loss, enjoying the true Glory of God. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Faith Community CRC, 5250 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Hank Vlaardingerbroek officiating. Interment will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, as well as Friday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church.
