Marilyn Dykstra

Marilyn Lois Dykstra, age 87, of Jenison, went to be the Lord on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Marilyn was a kind and loving person and her gentle spirit will be deeply missed. She was loved by all who she had the opportunity to meet and always put others before herself. Marilyn was very involved in volunteering for many children’s ministries at Cottonwood Church. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Gilbert Dykstra Sr.; her children, Denise and Dave McLellan, Deb and Mike Kozal, Gil and Val Dykstra; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lois Grove; brother-in-law, Phil and Sharon MacFarlane; nieces and nephews; close family friends, Nancy and Ricky Clemence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress Drive, Jenison, with pastor Matt Palsrok officiating. The burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 9-9:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Cottonwood Church.
