Marilyn A. Blink

Marilyn A. (Weekly) Blink, age 84, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on July 16, 2017.  In a state of readiness and having made peace with her maker, Marilyn spent the past two years (in her words) “holding the bed down”. Today, she is on her feet again and has been reunited with her beloved family members, friends, and special pets who have gone before her.  In her last days, she spoke many times of her excitement to meet Jesus and her maternal grandmother, who had passed many years before her birth.  She was preceded in death by Richard Blink, the father of her children.  She is survived by their children, Karen and Kim Chrisman, Russell and Catherine Blink, James and Pam Blink; grandchildren, Thomas Blink, Christine Kaczorowski, Katherine Chrisman; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  Marilyn’s long career as a secretary included employment with Wyoming Public Schools, Clark Home, and Pathology Laboratory.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, traveling and was an avid worker of crossword puzzles.  We wish to express gratitude to the staff at Holland Home, specifically Trillium Woods and Raybrook Manor, where Marilyn was well cared for.  As Marilyn had wished, cremation has taken place.  Please join the family for a memorial service to celebrate her life at 2 pm Saturday, July 29 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Rev. Ethel Stears officiating.  Inurnment Rest Lawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to lovefromlouie.org or the Humane Society of West Michigan.
