Marijo Ahrendt

Marijo Ahrendt (Herrema), age 61, of Byron Center, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Amanda; her parents, Jerry and Joyce Herrema; her sister, Lori Herrema; and her brother, Tom Herrema. Marijo was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and sister who cherished her family. She had a great love for the outdoors, enjoying hikes, walks on the beach, and travelling. Above all, she treasured the time that she spent with her grandchildren, making many wonderful memories together with them. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren, Josh and Melissa Ahrendt (Bailey), Joe and Tonia Ahrendt (Chase), Mike and Elizabeth Ahrendt (Oliver, Atticus); her sister, Melissa Herrema; many loving extended family members. A graveside service to honor Marijo’s life will be held Monday, July 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Georgetown Township Cemetery,  6921 28th Ave., Hudsonville, MI, with Pastor Matt Cook officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
