Marian J. DeJonge

Marian J. DeJonge, age 93, of Zeeland, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Saturday, December 8, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Derwin; daughter-in-law, Marcia; sister-in-law; Gerry VanTil; brother, Ray (Faye) VanTil, brother-in-law, Lester (Mildred) DeJonge.  She is survived by her children, Linda and Ray Lutke, Kathi and Larry Biddle, Dan DeJonge, Jon and Sandy DeJonge, Mark and Christine DeJonge, Wes and Kate DeJonge, Deanne and Mike Freestone; 25 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry VanTil; sister, Helen Wolters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Edna DeYoung, Bob and Grace DeJonge, Helen and Jim VanLaar.  Marian was a faith-filled, loving, caring woman with a servant’s heart.  She was always concerned about others before herself.  She loved her God and church and received inspiration from her daily devotionals and Bible reading.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018,  at 11:00 a.m. at Eastmanville United Reformed Church,  6845 Leonard St, Coopersville, MI 49404, with Pastor Jeph Nobel officiating.  Interment will be held at Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Gideon’s International or the Holland Rescue Mission.
