Marian Hoeksema

Marian Maxine Hoeksema, age 82, of Grandville, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hoeksema; brothers, Jim Doornbos, Alvin Doornbos; sister, Eleanor (Gerrit) VanLeeuwen; brother-in-law, Willard VanHouten, Doug Hoeksema; sister-in-law, Alyce Hoeksema; parents, Henry and Tina Doornbos. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rick (Jami) Hoeksema, Melody (Eric) Allen; grandchildren, Jager Hoeksema, Wyatt Hoeksema; sister, Beatrice VanHouten; sisters-in-law, Neve Doornbos, Maxine Doornbos, Cheri Hoeksema; and many nieces and nephews. Marian loved music, she played the organ for South Grandville CRC for 50 years and taught piano to many students for over 20 years. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at noon at South Grandville Church, 4130 Wilson Ave SW, with Rev. John Witvliet officiating. Burial Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 11-12 pm at church prior to the service.
