Marian “Mutts” Clausen (Molenkamp), age 87, of Jenison, was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 and is now free from her long battle with dementia. She joins her husband, Ray, and son, Kyle. The youngest of 11, she is survived by her brother, Rollie, and his wife, Ruth, who so lovingly and consistently visited her while she lived at Sunset Manor. With tears of joy, she will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Deb and Bob Busscher, daughter-in-law, Sue Clausen, and son, Kevin and Carol Clausen; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. How she loved to hold the little ones in her arms! They brought her a special joy and a beautiful smile. She leaves a legacy of hospitality. Family and friends were always welcomed into Mutt’s home where she was always ready for food and conversation around the kitchen table. She and Ray loved to challenge each other. In this way they spurred each other to grow beyond what each thought they were capable of on their own. They loved and admired each other greatly. Private family services will be held with burial at Georgetown Township Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunset for their loving care of Mutts over the last 8 years. Mutts would say “they are so good to me, like family”. “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” II Corinthians 4:16-18.
