Margaret “Maggie” Pastoor

Margaret “Maggie” Ruth Pastoor, age 79, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 16, 2016. Maggie was a longtime employee at BDO Seidman.  She enjoyed reading and singing in her church choir and was known for her quick wit and dry sense of humor.  Maggie was also a huge Detroit Tigers Fan.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Travis; and her brothers, Ken Velding, and Jim Velding. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richard Pastoor; children, Scott Pastoor and Beth Carroll, Kevin and Susan Pastoor, Deb and Bob Hoyle; 7 grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11 AM at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Robert Langenberg officiating. Interment Restlawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW and Tuesday from 10-10:45 AM at the church prior to the service.
