Marcia Wiersma

Marcia Jean Wiersma, age 67, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Marcia was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She held her family close to her heart and treasured every moment spent together. Truly a teacher at heart, Marcia had a deep love for nurturing and guiding young children, a calling through which she touched countless lives. She found joy in God’s creation, especially while spending time at the beach and exploring parks throughout West Michigan with her husband. Marcia was truly blessed to teach and care for so many. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, John Morsink; brother, Robert Morsink; parents-in-law, Roger and Mary Wiersma; and sister-in-law, Joan Shuck. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Robert Wiersma; son, Lucas and Autumn Wiersma; beloved grandson, Dakota; mother, Helen (Morsink) Belder; brother, James and Sue Morsink; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Tammy Prins. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Bob Bloom officiating. Burial will take place at Blendon Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday, January 14 from 5-7 pm and Thursday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
