Marcia Miedema

Marcia Miedema, age 78, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Marcia was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her genuine kindness and compassion she shared with so many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Jesse LeFebre; siblings, Fred LeFebre, Louis LeFebre, Ruth Ann and Phill Dommisse; brothers-in-law, Erne Miedema, Ed Miedema, and Sid Miedema. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Gerald “Jake” Miedema; children, Kimberly and Mark Dykstra, Michelle and David Schimmel, Jill and Daniel TeBos, Jodi and Matthew Postma, Lisa and Sid Miedema, Heather Lubbers, Brent and Shari Dommisse; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws, Shirlene Mulder, Coralynne and Don Vant’Hof, Freda and Al Elzinga, Kae Miedema, Lorraine Miedema, Donna and Wayne Brouwer, Ron and Dee Miedema, Ted and Gloria Miedema, Jane Cook; and many loved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Bethel United Reformed Church, 8360 Cottonwood Dr., Jenison, with Pastor Steve Postma officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, December 11, from 2-5 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Memorial contributions in Marcia’s honor may be made to a Christian School of your choice.
