Our loving father, Manuel Reyes Garcia, age 56, of Kentwood, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Garcia; great-grandfather, Jose Perez, Anissa Hardy, Sonja Perez, Camilla Perez Hardy and his companions, Lusha and BeBe.

Manny will be greatly missed by his daughters, Ciara Garcia, Melissa Diaz, and Naomi Garcia; sons, Manuel Garcia, and Emilio Garcia; grandsons, Jakoby and Javanni Jones, Elijah Diaz-Wright; granddaughters, Anna, Thalia, Roselie, Meliah; his sisters, Veronica, Tawana “Katie Mier”, and Carmen; aunts, Jo Linda, Jacinta; uncles, Sam, Alfred, José “Jr” ; cousins, Gena, Marquis, Jessica, Kevin, Karen, Michael, and Brian; his niece and nephews, Ethan, Mario, Davon, Devin, Mya, Eduardo, and Gabriel.

Manuel was a loving dad, brother, grandfather, cousin, nephew, and uncle who was blessed with a great sense of humor. He was a master chef who loved to show off his skill and cook for anyone. He also had an extreme love for music and enjoyed DJing and going fishing in his free time.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Jerry Bishop officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, November 10, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the needs of the family.
