
Lyman F. Lewis, age 63, of Byron Center, was called home by his Lord on Friday, September 20, 2019 because Heaven needed to be remodeled. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Geraldine Lewis; sister, Colleen DeBack; Lyman is lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Mary; children, Josh Lewis, Theresa Lewis, Jordan Peasley; grandchildren, Austin, Alec, Spencer, Sophia, Monroe, Mackenzie, Ava, Kaysen; siblings, Jim and Joyce Lewis, Judy Peterman, Bev and Bob Stevens, Bob and Patty Lewis, Craig and Peggy Lewis, Lori Drier and Tom Kalkman, Bruce Lewis, Dave DeBack; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dick and Yvonne Blake; brother-in-law, Bill Blake, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Terry Sparks; Lyman’s loyal companion, his dog Bella. Lyman was a hard worker and the rock of his family. He always made sure that everyone had everything they needed. He loved people and animals alike. To know Lyman was to love him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, September 24, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
