Lyle Russell Durham

Lyle Durham, age 76, of Pierson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Lyle was a kind, soft-spoken man who loved his family more than anything. He also loved to collect cars and tinkered with them his whole life. He served in the National Guard and later worked in telecommunications for 44 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his son R.J. Durham; and his sisters, Cleon, and Charlotte. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Brian and Carmen Durham, Jeannette (Ben) Thompson, Andrew (Amanda) Durham; his partner of 22 years, Lisa Smith and her children, Michael Smith, Daniel Smith, Nicole Smith, Amanda Smith; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and cousins; and his beloved dog, Nala. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr., Belmont. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to service.
