Lorraine June VanderWal

Lorraine June VanderWal, age 87 of Jenison, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Craig VanderWal; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward and Lois VanderWal; Margarite VanderWal. For many years, she and her husband Bill fostered many children through Bethany Christian Services. Lorraine gave of her time and talents at her church, actively serving in Stephen’s Ministry. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Deb and Jim Klompstra; son, Don (Sharon) VanderWal; grandchildren, Kelly (Nick Blackall), Sara and Charles Parker, Caleb, Megan, Stephanie, Amanda, Jennifer, Michael; great grandchildren, Brayden, Emma, Angelica, Brenden, Charles Jr. “P.J.”; brother-in-law, Jim (Hilda) VanderWal. Funeral services will be held Thursday 2pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
