Lois A. Rietberg, age 82, of Grandville, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bertha Rose; her sister, Frances; her brother, John; her son-in-law, Lou Guikema. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 62 years, Warren; children, Constance Rietberg, David and Debra Rietberg, Carla and Henry Byma; grandchildren, Emily (Brian), Lindsay (Erik), Nathan Rietberg, Nicholas and Stephanie Byma, and Brittany Byma. Lois was a kind, loving, considerate and caring wife, mom and grandma. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at school, and was very active at Eighth Reformed Church, singing in the choir and working as the librarian for many years. She loved her family, spending time at the cottage, traveling, and holiday celebrations. Lois will be greatly missed by those who loved her. The family extends their gratitude to Faith Hospice and Waterford Rehab for their loving care, and to Jan Brinks for her compassionate care for Lois. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 11 AM at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Howard Davis officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
