
Lois Palsrok, age 82, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 12, 2022 and is now free of pain. Lois was born in Muskegon and attended Muskegon High School before marrying Dick Palsrok on May 12, 1962. Lois was devoted to her family and active in her church, where she volunteered her time serving in the library, assisting with catering, and singing with the choir. She enjoyed living at the American House in Jenison and was well loved by the residents and staff. Lois will be dearly missed as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garret and Evelyn Hazekamp. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Dick Palsrok; children, Tenda and Rod Tjoelker, Barb and Roy Zuidema, and Laura Palsrok; grandchildren, Elise and Matthew; granddog, Shortstop; sister, Elaine and Wally Haglund; sisters-in-law, Sharon Boeskool, Brenda and Craig DeWind; brother-in-law, Jim Sandin; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Hank Vlaardingerbroek officiating. Burial at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10-11 am prior to the service. Those who wish may make contributions to Faith Hospice, ReFrame Ministries, or the Rafiki Foundation (in support of Christie Van Kuiken). The family requests that masks be worn at both the visitation and services.
