Linda S. Oosse

Linda Sue Oosse (nee Riddering), age 74, of Jenison, originally of Grand Rapids, was joyfully lifted into the arms of Jesus to live with Him on June 13, 2020.  She no longer struggles with the effects of Multiple Sclerosis which greatly limited her physical activity, but not her spirit for over 26 years.  She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother.  Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Don and Gertrude Riddering; and her in-laws, John and Ruth Oosse.  Linda will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 55 years, Russell Lee Oosse; her children, Michael and Cathy Oosse, Pamela and Jeff VandeHoef, Doreen and Jeff Joyce; ten very special grandchildren, Brendan, Brady, Brielle, and Brooklyn Oosse, Taylor and Andrew Krebill, Travis and Kaitlyn Shamery, Spencer Shamery and fiancee, Anna, Olivia and Rahul Eapen, Tyler and Jill Joyce, Devon and David Kuiper; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Kay Riddering of Waco, TX; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William J. and Kathy Oosse of Hudsonville, MI; nieces, nephews, and many longtime friends including Jean, Elaine, Flo, and Hulda.  A special word of thanks is given to her caregivers at Brookcrest Nursing Home, especially Jo, and Emmanuel Hospice.  Her last days were made complete by her love for God, family, and friends.  She served her Lord best by being a loving devotee to her husband, children, and grandchildren.  Linda was a longtime member of Beckwith Hills Christian Reformed Church and currently a member of Bethel United Reformed Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 11:00 am at Bethel United Reformed Church, 8360 Cottonwood, Jenison, with Pastor Steve Postma officiating.  Entombment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, and on Thursday from 10-10:45 prior to the service at church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions would be welcomed to Ada Christian School, Bethel United Reformed Church Christian Education Fund, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Michigan.
