Linda Susan (Johnson) Berkley passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026, surrounded by loved ones in her home. Linda was born on February 3, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Margaret and Floyd Johnson.
Linda was the heart of her family — a giver in every sense of the word. Her love language was generosity, and she expressed it best through thoughtful gifts, little surprises, and meaningful tokens chosen with care.
She had a true talent for decorating and took pride in making every space warm, welcoming, and beautiful — especially during the holidays. Her home was a reflection of her heart: full of charm, comfort, and love.
Above all else, Linda adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her greatest pride and her greatest joy. She loved them fiercely, celebrated them endlessly, and made sure each one knew how deeply special they were to her. Her love shaped generations, and her presence will forever be felt in their lives.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jerry Berkley, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion; and by her parents, Margaret (Van Namen) Johnson and Floyd Johnson.
She is survived by her two sons, Jason (Annie) Berkley and Justin (Renee) Berkley; her sister, Julie (Mike) O'Keefe; her treasured grandsons, Dakota Berkley, Dallas Berkley, and Caden (McKayla) Berkley; and her greatest pride and joy, her cherished great-grandchildren, Riley, Ava, and Ivy Berkley.
John 16:22 "Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again, and you will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you."
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, from 2-4 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
