Lester Wayne Harrington Jr., age 77, of Cedar Springs, passed away to join his beloved wife of 44 years, Sandra May Messer, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. He retired from Melling Drop Forge in Lansing, MI after working 30 years. He retired a second time from Kroger in Anderson, IN. Lester and Sandra loved to drive and travel around the state and country. He loved sharing gifts with family and friends and was a very kind and generous man. He was a very caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and companion. Lester would go out of his way to help others. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents, Lester Sr. and Dorothy (Guild); and sister, Ruth Woodruff. Lester will be lovingly remembered by his companion, Margaret Worden; children, Angela and David Smith, Steven Harrington and Wendy Moore; grandchildren, Stephen, Jeremy, Miranda, Cosette, Cassandra, Mary, Cora, Melissa, Hunter, and Jordan; many great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Harrington, and brother, Raymond and Sandy Harrington. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the United Way.
