Leonarda “Lena” Janna Esselink

Leonarda “Lena” Janna Esselink, age 95 of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Klaas Esselink. Lena was a devoted mother to Mimi and James Vanden Berg, Leonard and Lois Esselink, Evert and Sue Esselink; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Lena came to the U.S. from the Netherlands in 1958 with her family. She was a member of the Dutch Immigrant Society. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. Lena was a wonderful friend to everyone. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Bob Langenberg officiating. Interment Kent Memorial Gardens. The family will meet relatives and friends Friday 5-8pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming.
