Leona VanderMarkt

Leona Marie VanderMarkt, age 96, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold VanderMarkt; son, Doug VanderMarkt; daughter, Joan Mosey; sisters, Lee Langerak and Ruth Norder; brothers, George Layle and Jim Layle. She will be dearly missed by her children, Dan VanderMarkt, Dale and Kathy VanderMarkt, Dennis VanderMarkt; son-in-law, Mark Mosey; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou VanderMarkt; 8 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Walcott; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. The burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
