Leon Lusamba Budibuende, age 60, of Grand Rapids, formerly of the Democratic Republic of Congo, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 17, 2021. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Virginie Tshiasuma; children, Grace Lusamba, Jiji Lusamba, Judith Lusamba, Samson Lusamba, Ann Lusamba; nieces and nephews, Paul (Falonne) Ntumba, Rebecca Mubiayi, Lidie Mubiyayi; grandson, Kingston Johnson; brothers and sisters, Fred, Omer, Mamie, Peggy, Tshamala, Dimukai, Kabongo. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 10 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Craig Bickel and Pastor Guy Kasongo officiating. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, November 5, from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
