Leon “Camel” David Sherman

Leon “Camel” David Sherman, age 86 of Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Ann; children, Cindy Powell, Pat and Vicki Sherman, Dave and Sherri Sherman, Luanne and Dan DeBaar, Rob and Lisetta Sherman, Lila Snider, Sherry Rose; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Louise Chester; many nieces, nephews and best friend, Zeke. “Camel” loved fishing on the Muskegon River, telling stories of years past and sitting in the driveway with family, friends and his dogs, Scruffy (I, II and III) and Murphy. A memorial service will be held 11am Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Fr. Troy Nevins officiating. The family will meet relatives and friends Thursday10-11am prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
