
Lawrence Henry Nickels, age 95, of Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Lawrence was an usher for many years at St. John Vianney Church. He enjoyed helping neighbors take care of their lawns and snow-blowing in the winters. He retired from Kelvinator after 45 years. He also loved to play cards, especially Rummy 500. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; sisters and brothers: Catherine Homrich, Herman Nickels, Margaret Lenhart, Marian Fein, Cecilia Pahl. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Carol and Richard Nugent, Ronald Nickels, Barb and Bill Chulski, Wayne Nickels, Sharon and Don Molyneux, James and Beth Nickels; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Eugene (Rosemary) Klein, Howard Klein, Peter Klein, Ed Klein; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier, celebrant. Relatives and friends will meet the family Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at MKD Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming and also one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney School Foundation.
