Lawrence G.  Fitz, Sr.

Fitz, Sr. Lawrence G. Lawrence G. Fitz Sr. aged 86 of Wyoming, went to be with our Lord. Greeting him with open arms, his loving wife of 61 years, Jean. Larry served in the Marine Corps Reserves. After retiring from General Motors, he and Jean embarked on many adventures of traveling and visiting their favorite casinos. He enjoyed his hunting trips with his son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed always getting together with his entire family and reminising.  He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Vicki (Chuck) Apsey, Dawn (Dave) Thornbury, Renee (Bill) Rothenthaler; son Larry Jr. (Laura) Fitz; grandchildren, Mike, Chris, Nikki, Melanie, Merci, Nadia; seven great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday at the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 2530 Kalamazoo Ave SE. The family will meet relatives and friends Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 3-5pm & 7-9pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
