Larry Brown

Larry T. Brown, age 79, of Jenison passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a locomotive engineer for CSX for 34 years until his retirement. Larry enjoyed traveling all over the United States. He also enjoyed anything involving cars and would often go to motorsport races with his grandkids. Above all, family was everything to Larry and he loved to attend his grandkids sporting events and take them with him to the racetrack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvine and Georgia Brown, two sisters, Dorothy Wolschlager and Mary Greene; brother, John Brown; and a grandson, Parker Maitland. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Cindy; children Kimberly (Don) Brown, Trevor (Sara) Brown; grandchildren, Allison, Danielle, Beau, Addyson, Kaitlynn, Alyse; and great-grandchildren, Braden, Dexter, Angelina, and Jasper. Per Larry’s request no services will be held. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Berrien County at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the ALS of Michigan or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
