Kristine Lynn Dykstra

Kristine Lynn Dykstra, age 71, my beloved wife of 52 years passed into Glory with Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jerry; children, Kerry (Scott) Heyboer, Kim (Joey) Graham, Brad Dykstra; grandchildren, Charlie Heyboer, Quinn Heyboer, Gideon Heyboer, Sawyer Heyboer, Jaxson Graham, and Kennedy Graham; mother, Grace Boersma; mother-in-law, Dorothy Dykstra; brothers-in-law, Jack (Nancy) Huizenga, Richard (Paula) Dykstra, Stanley Dykstra, and many Boersma cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Kris was preceded in death by her premature daughter; father, Casey; sister, Mary Huizenga; grandmother, Florence Wiersma; father-in-law, Ralph Dykstra. Kris’ love was reading God’s Word daily and participated in Women’s Bible Study Fellowship, Tuesday mornings Bible study, and SoJourners adult Sunday School class where she was a prayer warrior. Her favorite verse was Isaiah 40:31. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles”. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm, on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Calvary Church, 707 E. Beltline NE with Rev. Josh Warren officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 1-2:30 pm prior to the memorial service at Calvary Church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
