Klaire Van Wingerden

Klaire C. Van Wingerden, age 84, of Jenison, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Casey and Angie Van Wingerden; and brother, Don Van Wingerden. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Diane Van Wingerden; children, Chris and Kristy Van Wingerden, Sara and Doug Brower; grandchildren, Case and Kerry Van Wingerden, Abby and Noah Lovins, Noelle Van Wingerden, Chloe Brower; sisters, Lois Van Wingerden, Mary Jo and Jerry Siegel. Klaire proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for most of his working years at Parker Motor Freight and was on the board of the American Trucking Association. After retirement, Klaire served in many ways volunteering his time and talents at his church as Sunday school superintendent, Bethel Bible Series, BSF, Alpha, and Kids Hope USA. He also served several terms as elder and deacon and as a faith mentor to many. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, April 21, from 5-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A private family graveside service will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Sunset Legacy Foundation.
