On Wednesday, January 27th at 12:25 p.m. Kimberly Ann Barr Campbell went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Kim was born on August 19th, 1958 in Oak Park, Illinois to Alva Eugene and Dorothy Jean Barr. On May 21st, 1977 Kim married Thomas Jay Campbell and started a beautiful life with him spanning over the next 43 years. Together they had four wonderful children: Lynnea, Travis, Brittany, and Jessica.

First and foremost, Kim was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured and embraced every moment she had with them. She absolutely loved her role as grandma and those that knew her best knew that her life was built around her grandchildren. She spent many years designing her dream home, but never believed it was her house, it was always God’s house. Over the years her house would be used for many things, including 14 exchange students from around the world, multiple missionaries, and many more friends and guests. The Campbell house was a place where all were welcome, and you could always find comfort. Kim enjoyed her canine companions as if they were her own children and you rarely saw a moment where they were not by her side. She had a passion for getting out and enjoying God’s creation, whether that meant missions trips to Africa, or simply kayaking with her husband and friends on the weekends. Kim could often be found enjoying the many different forms of art or traveling up and down the lakeshore touring wineries along the way.

Throughout her cancer, not unlike her life, Kim was a determined woman and stayed strong. It’s through her life that we know what resilience and perseverance look like. Kim did not lose her fight; God just called her home before we were ready to say goodbye. Her spirit, memories, and love will live in our hearts and minds as we try to learn how to navigate our life without her.

Preceding her in death are her son, Travis Jay Campbell; her daughter, Brittany Jean Campbell; and her father, Alva Eugene Barr. Surviving and carrying on her legacy are her husband Thomas Jay Campbell; her daughters, Lynnea Marie Strout (David) and Jessica Ann Watt (Kevin) Daughter-in-law Joanna Campbell; Grandchildren, Kayla Moran, Noah, Brianna, Emma Strout, Elizabeth Campbell, and Alexia White; her mother, Dorothy Jean Barr; her brothers Timothy Barr (Beth), James Barr (Tammy) as well as many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held for her on Saturday, February 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Rush Creek Bible Church in Byron Center, Michigan. The service will also be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/c/RushCreekBibleChurch/featured for those who are unable to attend.
