Kevin James Jenison, 66 years young, left this earth on Thursday, February 1, surrounded by his loving family. Kevin leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Susan Jenison; children, Tanya Jenison, Jesse Jenison (Shannon Gould); grandchildren, Tatum, Talia, Tanner, Taryn, Teagan, Laila, and Uriah; great-grandson, Leonardo; mother, Dorothy Jenison; brothers, Steve (Betty) Jenison, Pete Jenison; sisters, Rhonda (Steve) Collins, Brenda (Ron) Carr; and sister-in-law, Charlene Jenison. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Jenison; brother, Kelwyn; in-laws, Tom and Joan Bronkema; and best buds, Tommy Whitten and Rudy VanderMolen. Kevin was the original junkyard dog. Known to be up before the crack of dawn and the first one at the flea market to find the best deals. He had a knack for turning trash into treasures and would proudly show them off, especially his ’53 Ford, Big Red. Kevin was a hardworking, kindhearted, generous and thoughtful man. He loved his wife and family and was a wonderful provider. He was Tatum and Talia’s hero, Tanya and Jesse’s best friend, his wife Susie’s rock star, and ‘The Dude’ to all those that knew him. A celebration of Kevin’s life will take place on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. In the spirit of our fun, rock and roll loving Kevin, please wear your favorite rock and roll t-shirt. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family thanks Heartland Hospice of West Michigan for the wonderful care given to Kevin. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heartland Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
