Kenneth Dale Postma

Kenneth Dale Postma, age 87, of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Kenneth proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. After the Army, Ken worked for many years with Roskam and Butternut Bread until he retired. Ken enjoyed golfing, playing softball, and tending to his property, but above all loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to go to all of their sporting events, and having them over for pool time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ida Postma; siblings, Ida Boyer, Martin Postma Jr, Bud Postma, Leonna Hall, Joe Postma and his favorite grand-dog Draper. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Gail; children, Brian (Carol) Postma, Marcia (Ron) Wynsma, Marlene (Bob) Applegate, Margie Postma; grandchildren, Abigail, James, Brian II, Adam, Amanda, Wendy, Rachel, Kristin, Joe, Corey, Chad; 23 great grandchildren; his brother, David Postma; siblings-in-law, Dick (Pat) Slagter, Pat Slagter, Ellen Jones, Paul (Mary Jo) Slagter, Lola (Tom) Iacovani, Leon (Sandy) Slagter, Tim (Krista) Slagter, Sue Hellem; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, May 31 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Burial will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6-8 pm and an hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Paws with a Cause.
