Kathy Boelema

Kathy Sue Boelema, age 66, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 21, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Cora Boelema; and her brother, Mark Boelema.  She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jessica; brother, Tim (Kelly) Boelema, sister, Joan (Kevin) McMinn; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  Kathy was an avid reader and prayer warrior.  She loved to bake and share her treats with everyone.  Her faith was also very important to her and she demonstrated it by the way she served others.  Even during her battle with cancer, she never complained and always had a smile.  She was a gentle spirit who will be missed by many.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Pointe Church, 3350 Baldwin St., Hudsonville, with Pastor Jim Jeffery officiating.  The burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Chapel Pointe Benevolence Fund or Love INC. The family wishes to thank Kathy’s small group from Chapel Pointe for all their love and support.  They were not only her dear friends...but truly her family.
