Kathleen Mae DeGroot

Kathleen Mae DeGroot, aged 69 of Kentwood, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Altha Berends; and brother, Gary Berends. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edward; children, Jayne (Ed) Pribble, Ed (Amanda) DeGroot, Michelle Munoz; grandchildren, Mikayla, Alex, Jessica, Jared, Avery, Veda, Leila; brothers and sisters, Cheri Berends, Ray (Deb) Berends, Char (Jerry) Rogers, Doug (Nola) Berends, Duane (Nancy) Berends, Marv (Deb) Berends, Rosann (Erik) Ingolfsrud; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Buu-Chau-Le. A memorial service for Kathleen will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Drive, Grandville, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.
