June Hamann

June Hamann (Salo), age 85, of Rockford, was called home to be with her risen Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gordon; her sons, Larry, Leroy, and Lyle Hamann.  June was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who treasured her family and always put others before herself. June was blessed with the gift of creating beautiful arts and crafts. Over the years, many family and friends were blessed with  her talents. June served her Lord and community, volunteering her time and talents in many ways. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She will be lovingly remembered by Dianne (Don) Hammersmith, Donna  Hammersmith (Kevin Gray), Les (Trish) Hamann; daughters-in-law, Nancy (Leroy) Hamann, Julie (Lyle) Hamann; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; siblings, Alvin (Bonnie) Salo, Harold (Joyce) Salo, Wilmer (Annie) Salo, Dave (Bev) Salo, Bob (Annette) Salo, Elaine (Matti) Valitalo, Evelyn (Brian) Korpi; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Grandville Cemetery with Pastor Doug Crawford officiating.
