Julius   Rubingh

Rubingh, Julius Julius Rubingh, age 89, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2014. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine; children, Darlene (David) Kuiper, Gerald (Pat) Rubingh, Sherrie (Tim) Lowly, Joy (Marvin) Veltkamp, Douglas (Carolyn) Rubingh;  11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers,   Henry Rubingh, Martin (Virginia) Rubingh; brother-in-law, Myron (Natalie) Postmus;  sister-in-law, Gertrude Rubingh; several nieces and nephews. Julius proudly served our country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 am at Blythefield Christian Reformed Church, 6350 Kuttshill Drive, Rockford, with Rev. Darrin J.B. Compagner officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday 9-11 am prior to the service at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Blythefield CRC or Wycliffe Bible Translators – Mexico Campus.
