Judith M.  Wylie

Wylie, Judith M. WYLIE, JUDITH MOSS Judith Moss Wylie, aged 80 of Kentwood, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Heather Hills Care Center, Grand Rapids.  Judie was born in Mineola, New York on September 8, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, King Joseph Moss and Alice Earls Moss Bond; her brother, John Edward Moss; and her sister-in-law, Mary Wylie Driscoll Calef. Judie is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Robert; sons, Charles (Kathryn), John (Karen) and their children; her sister-in-law, Madeline Moss and her children.  Judie attended the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. She was a very active person having served as a Deacon at John Knox Presbyterian Church, a Kentwood City Commissioner for over 20 years, a co-founder, founding President and Life Member of the Kentwood Women’s Club, former President and Honorary Life Member of the Sallie Bender Guild of Spectrum Health Butterworth, and a member of the Women’s City Club of Grand Rapids prior to her illness.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE on Thursday, June 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 13 at 11:00 am at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 4150 Kalamazoo SE with The Reverend Michael Baynai presiding.  Inurnrment will take place at the Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery in New Galilee, PA at the convenience of the family.  The family is extremely grateful for her many friends who faithfully visited Judie during the four years she was at Heather Hills, and to the staff at Heather Hills Care Center for their dedicated attention to Judie, as well as Great Lakes Caring Hospice for their compassionate assistance.  For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, contributions to the John Knox Presbyterian Church Music Fund would be appreciated.
