
Judith Kay (Souder) Cook of Wyoming, Michigan went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the age of 76. Judy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Harold and Maxine Souder. Judy was a graduate of Holland High School and Reformed Bible Institute, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Judy was very involved in several churches during her lifetime including Bethany Christian Reformed Church of Holland, Moline CRC, Moline Baptist, Leighton United Methodist, and Roosevelt Park CRC. Judy had a passion for walking out her faith with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her favorite pastimes were taking care of animals, and photography of birds, flowers, nature, and her grandchildren. She loved to travel, especially in the Southwest.
Judy was preceded by her parents, Harold and Maxine Souder; aunt, Helen Simmons; siblings, Jim (Irma) Souder of Ohio, Larry (Joan) Souder of Holland, and Jan Souder of Holland. She is remembered by her children, Colleen (Joel) Hill, Larry (Sarah) Cook, Mary (Dave) Cook Geivett, and Barbara (Eddie) Gaines; Ronald Cook, former spouse and father of her children; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and a nephew in Holland and Ohio.
The memorial service will take place at 11 am on Friday April 22, 2022, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW, with Rev. James Jones officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10 -11 am prior to the service. Judy will be laid to rest along with her parents and sister at East Saugatuck Cemetery.
The family expresses a heartfelt thank you to Spectrum Hospice and the staff at Spectrum Fuller for their love and compassion shown to her during her stay there.
