Joyce I. DeFouw

Joyce Irene DeFouw, aged 85 of Caledonia and Florida, went to be with her Lord on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2016.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her eight brothers and sisters.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, James "Jim" DeFouw; sons, Thomas and Joni DeFouw, Kevin and Ginny DeFouw; grandchildren, Matthew and Erin DeFouw, Kyle DeFouw, Megan DeFouw, Kristin and Dave Nieboer, Shannon and Blane Sluiter, Patrick DeFouw; four great-grandchildren, Preston and Londyn Nieboer, Trey and Addy Sluiter; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11:00 am at Providence Christian Reformed Church, 7730 Eastern  Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, with  Pastor J.B. Wernlund officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 2-4 and 6-8pm  on Thursday at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, Kentwood, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE.
