Joyce Duimstra

Joyce Elaine Duimstra, age 87, loving wife and mother went into the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior on May 24, 2025. She loved the Lord with all her heart and professed that to her family and all who knew her. Her family meant everything to her and she raised her children to love the Lord and she followed in His footsteps. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She had a beautiful soul that showed in her face with a bright smile when you were with her. She will be dearly missed. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack Duimstra; an infant son, Steven Duimstra; and two brothers, Ronald VanderBand and Robert VanderBand. She is survived by six children, Kimberly and Thomas Walcott, Jack Jr and Cindy Duimstra, Terry and Molly Duimstra, Brian Duimstra, Curtis Duimstra, Scott and Stephanie Duimstra; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. A gathering to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Ivanrest Christian Reformed Church, 3777 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville. A private family service will be held. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Ivanrest Christian Reformed Church.
