Joy Wilson

Joy (Joyce) Elaine Wilson, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Green Acres in Allendale. Joy was born the youngest of three daughters to William and Fidella Evans of Marne. In 1950, she married Forrest Wilson and they were married for 31 years. Joy worked in food service for GVSU for many years. She was an avid home decorator, loved camping and spending time with her family. Her greatest delight was using her God given talent on the piano and organ playing for her church, the Salvation Army, and the Veterans Home. She was truly a blessing to those she was able to play for. Joy is survived by her children, Jack Wilson, Tom and Kris Wilson, Janet and Ray Busfield, Mark and Bev Wilson; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Wendell Merica. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. J.B. Stutts officiating. The burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, April 22, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wood Brook Cathedral.
