Joy Ann Whitten

Joy Whitten, age 64, of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, January 21st, 2021. She had many hobbies, including photography, world traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and gardening. She enjoyed relaxing outside on her patio with a fire and glass of wine. Her traveling companions included close friends and family. She was nothing short of adventurous. Joy was a loving, caring and dedicated mother who always put her family first. She was not afraid to speak her mind and stood strong in what she believed in. She was a thoughtful, supportive, and generous grandmother who would always travel to New Mexico for each of her granddaughters’ birthdays. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Eleanor Bogard. She will be greatly missed by her two sons, Richard and fiancée, Crystal Quintana, Jason and fiancée, Bojana Sakota; and her grandchildren Lilliana, Charlotte and Lucas; siblings, Marty and Brinda Bogard, Sandy and Terry Kopp; many special nieces and nephews. A private memorial service was held for the family and burial has taken place at Resurrection Cemetery.
