Joseph Herman Dykstra

Joe (Joseph) Herman Dykstra, age 61, of Grand Rapids, was taken to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ron, and Ray Dykstra and sister, Judy Kornoely. Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Reen; his son, Riley (Mary) Dykstra, and grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, and Madison; his daughter, LaRaye (Micah) Schrotenboer, and grandchildren, Jonathan, Abigail, EmmaRae, and Luke; his daughter, Laura Dykstra. Sisters, Jan (Jim) Terpstra, Carol (Jim) Schimmel, Kathy Sue Musser and Randy Ditmar; brother, Rich Dykstra and Sandy Bewell; sister-in-law; Carole Dykstra; brother-in-law, Dutch Kornoely; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as many Kamps and DeMeester extended family members. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. with Pastor Dean Vander Mey officiating. Burial Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 10 to 12 pm at the funeral home. Joe’s family would like to thank the staff of Faith Hospice of Trillium Woods for their wonderful care of Joe and his family.
