Joseph DiPiazza

Joseph DiPiazza, age 80, of Wyoming, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 2, 2022. He worked at Kelvinator for 18 years and retired from Steelcase after 22 years of service. He had a passion for cars and was skilled in auto body detailing. He loved to buy, fix, paint and sell cars. Joseph enjoyed traveling and going on family vacations over the years. One of his favorite pastimes included trips to the casino to play the penny slots. Family was important to him. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids and seeing relatives at family reunions. He will be greatly missed for his kindness, storytelling, and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph (Mary) DiPiazza; brothers, James DiPiazza, Frank DiPiazza, Jack DiPiazza; sisters, Francis Spica, Caroline Stewart. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Mary DiPiazza; children, Jo Jo DiPiazza, Michael (Evelyn) DiPiazza, Troy (Kris) DiPiazza; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Angelo DiPiazza, Mariano DiPiazza, John DiPiazza, Josephine Johnson, Rose Kidder, Jerone Swoveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood) 4646 Kalamazoo Ave., with Fr. John Vallier presiding. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Kidney Fund.
