John Stursma

John Stursma, age 87, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 1, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Charlene; children, Wesley and Laurie Wiersma, Mike and Shelley Stursma, Jason and Jaime Stursma; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was preceded in death by his sister, Janet VandenBerg. He loved his Lord and Savior, and he was a faithful member of Cottonwood Church. John drove truck for 43 years, was a Tigers fan, proudly served in the National Guard for seven years, and most of all loved his family and spending time with them. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress Drive, Jenison 11am,  with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 10-11a.m. prior to the service at church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Christian Reformed Conference Grounds in Grand Haven, MI.
