John Potente

John Potente, age 71, of Grandville, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. He enjoyed spending time walking his dog, reading books, laughing with his friends and family, and quoting lines from movies. John loved helping others, especially in his career as a chiropractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Frances Potente; and brother, Walter F. Potente. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Bonnie Potente; son, Mitchell Potente; siblings, Nancy and Joseph Ponsi, Virginia and David Kardell, Anita and Ronald Killcrece; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, October 29, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
