John P. Bulgarella

John P. Bulgarella, aged 93 of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Bulgarella. He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Rose Bulgarella; children, Barbara (David) Stafford, John J. (Sonja VanDuine) Bulgarella; grandchildren, Christine Stafford, Angela Stafford, Charlene Bulgarella, Stephanie (David) Wendt, Richard Bulgarella; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn Taylor Bulgarella, Karly Rosemary Wendt, and David Eugene Wendt III. John proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II on the USS Caperton from December 14, 1942 to January 4, 1946. He retired from Steelcase after over 30 years of employment. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming on Wednesday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Talons Out Honor Flight.
