John Medendorp

MEDENDORP – John, aged 92 of Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Jennie Medendorp; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob (Bess) Medendorp, Ken (Helen) Medendorp; sister and brother-in-law, Grace (Bob) Meyer; son-in-law, Dave Peuler. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, June (Blackall) Medendorp; daughters, Gail (Herb) Hopfinger of Wyoming, Linda Peuler of Byron Center; granddaughters, Kelly (Jon) Clark, Angie (Kevin) Miller, Dana (Chad) Conklin, Michelle (Marty) Lenger, Beth (Rod) Pentoney, ten great-grandchildren, Madison, Isaac, Elliot Clark, Mason, Carson, Sienna Conklin, Sydney, Easton Miller, Caleb, Amber Pentoney; sisters-in-law, Lea Mollien, Earlene Ferrante both of Grand Rapids; many nieces and nephews. John proudly served his country in the Army during WW II. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE with Dr. Jonathan White officiating. Burial in Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral chapel on Tuesday 6-9 pm and from 10 – 11 am on Wednesday. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Conquer Chiari or the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
